Sidbury House - Conversion to apartmnets, Mews Homes, and offices

Built in the mid-19th Century as a glove factory, the building was more recently used by Worcester College of Technology.

17 apartments were provided in the main 5 storey building, serviced by a lift, and  and 6  Mews Homes were provided in a second converted building to the rear, togther with 7 work-from-home apartments in the lower ground floor of the main building.

The artist's impression of the planned conversion .......

.... and the finished conversion:

This was a major conversion, involvoing a complete strip of all internal fittings, demolition of modern extensoins, complete new roof, and then the whole building was finished to current standards of high energy efficiency, fire safety, and acoustic insulation.

A detail of the new "mansard" roof. Although competely new, this replicated the originmal roof in every way.
