Full masonry construction
Each house is built in full masonry construction. The inner leaf is aircrete insulation blocks (combining strength and durability with high energy efficiency), while the outer leaf is attractive face brick with contrasting brick courses.

Roof tiles are clay “plain” ie traditional small tiles

Solar heating
Domestic hot water is heated by roof-mounted solar panels, providing up to 60% of the annual hot water heating. When required, hot water is also heated by an efficient gas boiler.

Rain water recycling
Roof rain water is used for all WC’s. If there is any interruption in rain water (due to lack of rain, or electricity or equipment failure) the system immediately switches automatically to mains water.

Gas central heating with high-efficiency boiler
