THE LOCATION

Many of the houses around the development were built to house electronic engineers working at the Malvern Radar Establishment. Curran Close is named after the Malvern Scientist Joan Curran, who invented “window” (strips of metal) which disrupted signals from enemy radar and so protected allied bombers.
Being itself a Close, off another Close (Davenham Close), the development is amazingly quiet and peaceful, with no passing or through traffic.
GREAT MALVERN
Great Malvern is the heart of The Malverns.

The Hills are 20 kilometres long, covering some 105 square kilometres and are crossed by a myriad of public footpaths.

TRANSPORT
Malvern has excellent transport links. Worcester City, with all the facilities that would be expected from a riverside Cathedral City, is just 8 miles or 20 minutes by car, with both regular bus and train links.
The M5 and M50 are both about 20 minutes away while Malvern has 2 main line train stations.
